“What is your motivation?”, is the question I am asking today. I talked a little about motivation in a post a couple weeks ago: “Who Needs Motivation?” – but this week I am going to help you discover YOUR motivation.

This past week I have been really working on my fitness. I’ve taken up jogging more regularly lately. Exercise really makes me feel good. When I begin I feel exhausted and want to quit right away, I look deep inside for my motivation for doing this.

The weekend is here and with that comes major distractions to ones diet! I know this from personal experience! I posted last time about how to avoid food cravings. But what about food distractions?! The food that is blatantly in front of your face and so easy to just reach out and grab?! How do we go about eating out the healthy way? Like when your friends say, “Hey, lets go out for happy hour.” So you go and they want to order a pitcher of margaritas, and then the server brings you chips and salsa, and then everyone decides to order dinner…. wow, the calories just keep adding up don’t they!

When it comes to the drinks, if you want to not drink a lot – and avoid those “empty” calories, order something you wouldn’t normally order. That way you will be less likely to pound it down and order [...]

How to Overcome Bad Food Cravings

We all get bad food cravings. Some for sweets, and some for salts. Some for fried stuff, and some for cheesy stuff. The list can go on and on. This desire or craving we get to eat something comes from past experiences of eating it. You felt enjoyment, and a sense of euphoria when you ate it and you want to experience that again. Or it brings back a memory of someone or something, and you want to remember that feeling. An easy way to get over this is to find healthy foods that will give you this same feeling. Cardio Exercise Can Be Fun!

Many people are on the road to lose weight, get healthy, get fit and to look hot in a bikini. It’s what most people want – except guys don’t want the bikini part, of course! haha! But just to look good is a big desire for many. There are two things that are important when you want to lose weight and that is Diet and Exercise. Today I am going to focus on exercise. Cardio exercise is good for getting that heart rate up and burning calories and fat. Strength training is good for building muscle strength and can be great for losing weight as well. Who needs motivation?

One of the biggest issues we face when we are trying to lose weight is lack of motivation. It’s so easy to say to yourself, “Oh, I’ll get to it tomorrow.” or, “I just don’t have time today.” I am here to tell you that it is so important to just give yourself at least 20 minutes of time today to get a little exercise in. And also make sure that what your are fueling your body with is filled with healthy ingredients. Think about how much better you will feel afterwards. Accomplished. Happy. Energetic. On top of the world. AND full of motivation to get out there and do it again the next day.
